This is a longer (3-hour) program for older (10+) children and adults, featuring up-close wildlife encounters and a guided bushwalking tour.  Morning tea is provided.

Please note that this event involves a lot of walking.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING
  • Please wear clothing suitable for a bush setting: enclosed shoes, sleeved shirt (short or long), and a sunhat, as well as bottled water depending on the conditions.
  • There is a lot of walking.
  • Attendees may be photographed whilst attending the event for publicity and social media purposes, and you agree to this by participating in this event unless you advise otherwise before commencement. You will also be asked to sign a release on your behalf and on behalf of your attending child. Please let us know as soon as possible by emailing education@kaarakin.com if any of this will be a problem.
  • Each event is of three hours duration.
  • Self-guided tours of Kaarakin are not available, and attendees will not be permitted to leave a group unaccompanied by a Kaarakin guide or volunteer.
  • Tickets are non-refundable.
  • Although we will make every effort to accommodate our ticket holders, we reserve the right to change dates and times without notice depending on bookings and site and weather conditions.
  • The event is conducted at an operational wildlife rehabilitation facility, and will involve walking over uneven ground with slip hazards including Marri nuts (which our cockatoos love!), pebbles, and sticks.  Although Kaarakin makes every effort to ensure a safe environment, participants agree that to the extent permissible by law, Kaarakin cannot be held liable for any loss or injury suffered by any participant whilst on Kaarakin’s premises or in the course of participating in an event.
